Aerotech A.T.E. Ltd News PageNew High Speed Data Acquisition system also brings improved repeatability.
Aerotech's new HSDA system for taking high-speed and/or high-stability measurements from wind tunnel balances (both internal and external types) is already proving popular.
Originally designed for capturing reliable, repeatable, clean (well-filtered) data at speeds of up to 300 Hz on a 6-axis balance, this capability has also allowed the filtering system to accurately track and stabilise data with highly dynamic content, even extreme examples such as an aircraft model under stall conditions. The system is being used in both commercial and research environments, and is currently enabling a new study into the dynamic behaviour of road vehicles to be undertaken.
Collection of a data stream which is fast yet clean, and with an accurately uniform time distribution has enabled Aerotech's clients to make significant improvements in the repeatability of measurements, and yet has also enabled them to reduce the time spent on each sample, and to improve tunnel productivity.
As well as improving the speed and quality of results, the HSDA system enables users to: Take data in real time to see high frequency effects, take data during continuous sweep movements, and to take data during contoured moves, with precise timing. |
